PROFOX actuators feature configurable motor speeds, enabling precise control of valve movement to match the specific demands of each application. This variable speed capability is especially beneficial in fluid networks where gradual valve actuation helps minimise pressure surges, supporting calm network strategies and significantly reducing the risk of water hammer. PROFOX protects infrastructure by avoiding sudden changes in flow, ensuring smoother, more energy-efficient operation.
Advanced diagnostics, soft start/stop functions, and real-time data capture further enhance performance and reliability. PROFOX's embedded intelligence makes it equally capable in both basic open-close tasks and sophisticated modulating applications. Low standby consumption and high mechanical efficiency ensure that operational costs remain minimal over the long term.
PROFOX delivers for applications involving gate, butterfly, ball, or globe valves. Multi-turn models cover torques from 10 to 100 Nm, and part-turn versions span 32 to 600 Nm - with a linear actuator variant currently in development. A modular design allows for rapid configuration, quick delivery, and scalable operation. Compatibility with all major communication protocols ensures that PROFOX can easily integrate into existing control systems and adapt to future upgrades.
Precision-engineered and manufactured in Germany, PROFOX is designed for resilience in even the harshest operating conditions. The compact actuators feature a high-grade metal enclosure with IP67 protection (IP68 optional) and corrosion resistance rated to the highest C5-M/C5-I standards (EN ISO 12944-6). Operational reliability is maintained across a broad temperature range from –30 °C to +70 °C.
Installation and commissioning are streamlined with intuitive pushbutton controls and an easy-to-use mobile app. A visible position indicator and the FOX-EYE status light ensure at-a-glance status recognition, even from a distance, supporting efficient on-site monitoring.
